The Wedding Party

One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was spending time with my wonderful girl friends who were there standing by my side on my most precious of days. I know Tyler also had a lot of fun hanging out with his friends as well, they played their favorite card game Munchkin and waited till it was time to walk down the aisle.

Anywho... I'd like to introduce our wedding party

First up: My little sister, my Maid of Honor. Devyn, who will be 15 very soon and starts high school this year, is such a big piece of my world (even though she doesn't realize it). I love my little sister to pieces and I was so happy to have her as my maid of honor that day. She was excited and was my little helper. She had to get taught how to fix my train and she did such a good job :) She even let me do her makeup for the big day which was such fun! :) I love being a big sister to this girl! I can't wait to watch her walk down the aisle one day!

Haha, this lovely girl was my Matron of Honor. I met Tana my senior year of high school when I moved to Arkansas, and she's been a wonderful addition to my life ever since. She will be having her sweet baby boy walker very soon! I was so excited to see her and get to spend time with her and her precious baby bump that day. Tana is always laughing and smiling and is just so incredibly bubbly, and may I add beautiful. She was such a trooper and was always willing to step in and do whatever was needed, even though she was 5 months pregnant! lol. I love her more than she knows!

This is Laura, my partner in crime. I almost didn't have her in my wedding, which was probably the stupidest thing ever! Luckily things happened where I got to have her as a bridesmaid, and I am so glad she was! She is one of my bestest friends in life. We have been through thick and thin since I met her. Laura has always been my confidant. I can tell her anything and everything and know that she will love me and support me and talk through things with me. I don't know how I would do life without this girl. Also her husband is pretty awesome as well and me and Tyler are so thankful for their sweet friendship! We wished we lived closer to them so we could hang out with them more!

My beautiful, lovelysweet Kayla! This girl is like my sister. I lived with her family for over a year during college and I was able to see how this beautiful lady loves the Lord and her family more than others get to. She has the kindest, most beautiful heart, and she loves people fiercely. She may seem quiet and timid at first, but man just wait till you see her open up! She is always making me laugh and feel like I am loved. Kayla has a way with people, and soon she will be a nurse! I feel like the Lord is going to do great things through Kayla!

Here is another fun picture of us with her brother Trevor :)

Last but not least my sweet Victoria. We became best friends our senior year of high school. We were the only two senior girls in our youth group, and we stuck together like glue. I even lived with Victoria's family for some time after she went off to college. Victoria is quick witted and vivacious. She has such a love for life and fun. She is funny and just so lovable! I wish that I could spend more time with her! She will be graduating soon with a degree in interior design, so I think I might have to get her to come spruce up my apartment for me! :)

Now I can't speak for how Tyler feels exactly, but I know he was super appreciative of his groomsmen, so here are some fun pictures of them!

Overall, we had the best Wedding Party any couple could ask for! Thank you to our sweet friends!

Blog Upgrade?

I finally was able to figure out how to add the pages and kind of upgrade the blog a little. It is a long way from where I hope to bring it, but I definitely like the new touches!

I have to do the dishes real fast and run to work, but hopefully soon I will be able to post some of the wedding pictures I was wanting to. I did make a Wedding page on the blog, so you can go look there for a long list of pictures that shows how the day went pretty well! However, there are a couple of fun pictures that I left out because I would like to make a post specifically about them!

I hope you enjoy the new blog look!!

Let me know what you think :)

Let's catch up...

As of today I have been married for a month and two days! It seems so surreal and time has just flown by!! Soon I will be posting my favorite bridal and wedding day pictures and even post a little bit about the honeymoon cruise! But as for now I just want to do a little bit of catching up!

First of all, marriage rocks! It's so wonderful being able to share everyday with your best  friend! It definitely isn't always an easy thing to do, but it's such an incredible blessing! I never thought I could love Tyler more than I already did, but I love him more with everyday!!

Second, taking care of a home is not as easy as people think! I will be writing more about my adventures becoming a little housewife and balancing work and eventually school as well. I am also hoping to be able to use this blog to meet other newlyweds and young brides who are wanting to live in the role that God has called us to as wives.

That being said, I've recently been doing a little bible study on the Proverbs 31 woman, which you can get yourself from Women Living Well and it's completely free! :) I've really been yearning to prepare my heart everyday and to bring God glory through everything in my role as a wife. Last night I also purchased the book The Good Wife's Guide: Embracing Your Role as a Help Meet by Darlene Schacht who has the blog Time-Warp Wife. I can't wait to start reading it and just soaking up all that I can and be able to put stuff into practice.

I truly believe that God gave us the specific roles as wives that He did for a reason. I want to live in that role and glorify God with all that I am!! I will be talking more about that soon hopefully!

Other than all of that, I'm not really up to much besides enjoying being a newly wed and having a summer break before my last year of school! What are you up to?!?!

3 Weeks and 3 Finals to Go...

In 21 days I will finally be married!! :) I can't wait!! There still a little bit of things to get done, but everything is coming together nicely and I am just getting so excited!!

However, Before any of that can even become my main priority... I must finish Finals!!
I have taken one and I have three more to go! I'm really stressed about them because its important for me to make good grades to keep my GPA up! I did not do so well on my Numerical Analysis (i know, it just sounds gross right, and I'm that math major lol) midterm, so I must BEAST my final!! So please, prayer is appreciated! My Differential Equations one I am not super scared about, but my professor loves to throw curve balls, so I have to be aware and ready for anything! lol. Oh and it's at 7:30 am x_x  And then there is my Educational Psychology final... that one is not going to be fun at all... I have to write a paper... I hate papers.... especially self-reflective-type ones. Yuk! lol. Most people would that that's easy, but it takes a lot of deep thinking and awareness and just.... stuff. lol It has six sections, where I have to pick something from each chapter we covered and talk about why I like it and how I will apply it in my future classroom, and most of it is brain stuff and such... cause it's psychology. Then on top of the paper I have to do a multiple choice online final as well. Yeah, that teacher loves piling on the work.

But then, when 10 am Wed morning rolls around, I will be DONE!!! And then there's Thurs to pack up the rest of my stuff, Friday I get to watch my friends graduate (and cry on the inside that even though this is my fourth year of school I am not graduating yet), and then Sat I GET TO GO BACK TO ARKANSAS!! :) Not saying I don't love Missouri, but this weather is killing me!! It can't make up its mind whether or not it wants to be hot or cold, sunshine or rainy. I'm ready for that warm, beautiful, spring/summer weather of Hot Springs! Maybe I'll even get to go to the lake! I'm so excited because I'm actually getting to have a little mini vacay! No work for three weeks for me!! :) I'll get to focus on getting ready for the wedding, and start running to look better in my bathing suit (yay! CRUISE!!) and just relax... hopefully :)

Ahh... everything is so close to being done and I'm getting so excited for the next chapter in my life!!

What's going on in your life? Finals? Summer plans? Vacations? Work?
